What is the first thing that comes to your mind when someone says traditional clothing? Sarees! Okay, at least for me saree is the first name that pops on my mind.
I literally grew up seeing my mom, my aunts, let it be whoever, rock the saree game. Being a South Indian comes with its own set of perks. We south Indians are obsessed with Silk sarees, Kanjivaram silk sarees. And we are proud of it!
Even though I love the thought of a pattu saree I have always never worn them very frequently. I am pretty skeptical when it comes to sarees because I am very particular about the color and the pattern. Being a girl that I am I love basics, even when it comes to sarees.
I like simple and subtle colored sarees. And I always find it difficult to find such sarees here in Chennai. Because Silk Sarees are meant to be all fancy with the Zari and bright colored.
It was recently that Sri Kumaran stores launched their new Magic pattu collection and I couldn’t be happier. The new magic pattu collection is the perfect mix of tradition and modern, a contemporary saree I would name it :P
Okay here is the catch. If you take a close look at the pallu of these sarees you can spot a panda on it. Yes! Who doesn’t love cute pandas on their sarees?
Also, there are only a few sarees in this collection but they are gorgeous. I absolutely love the colors. I chose a subtle pink colored saree and paired it up with a plain black blouse.
