Everything you need to make your stay perfect at Ooty ft. Sterling Resorts

As much as I love my city, I also hate the fact that summers are just too much to handle. The scorching sun always makes me want to run away to someplace cold and breezy.
Just when I badly wanted to go on a summer escape to a hill station nearby, Sterling Holidays got in touch and wanted to take a few bloggers from the city on a two day trip to Ooty. What a timing, right?

I was thrilled than ever because it was my first ever visit to Ooty. Also, my first ever travel collaboration.

Day 1

We reached Ooty around 8:30 in the morning and the climate was just perfect, brisk and amazing!

And then, we entered the super huge Sterling property, Sterling Fern Hill. The first best thing about the property is the location. Sterling Fern Hill is located just in a right place that the view from the hotel is mind-blowing.

We quickly checked in to our rooms and freshened up, had breakfast (with a view, DUH) and headed for the day. And, the view from our room was, Okay I can’t even explain so attaching a small video clip and a few pictures. A lot of you who follow me on Instagram would have seen me gloating about my room view on my stories.

All of us gathered in the conference room and had an ice break session with some hot chai and snacks :P And then the lunch, Oh God! Sterling serves the best food. Honestly the best!

After a delicious lunch session, the sterling team took us all on a property tour. Just two words. Beautiful and pleasant

The Sterling team was sweet enough to plan a few activities for us throughout the trip to keep us engaged and entertained.
First, we visited Toda village, the people of Toda are ancient tribes who live in the tribal village, Toda, Ooty. Everything about their customs and traditions was interesting and Unique. We also had an opportunity to visit the famous hut temple of Toda tribes.
And then we visited the chocolate and tea factory and learned a little more about the entire process that goes in making tea and chocolates. If you people didn’t know Ooty is known for its tea and homemade chocolates.

After a tiring day, we returned to the property and had some delicious evening snacks and of course, TEA!
Our first evening at Sterling started with a campfire, songs, and food! It was one of the best nights with my girls. We learned some traditional Toda dance, sang songs and had yummy food. And that’s how we ended our DAY 1 at Sterling.

Day 2

We woke up to a picture postcard view, and I am still not over it. Anyway, we started the day with scrumptious south Indian breakfast and hot coffee. Then, we headed to Sterling’s other property at Ooty, Sterling Elk resort which was just 3 km from where we were staying.

Sterling Elk was just magnificent. The view, the rooms, the food. Everything was just brilliant. Also, talking about the food, we were served some delicacies prepared from their in-house organic garden. Every single dish was healthy and fresh.
After a heartful brunch at Sterling Elk, we headed to the top of a hill via The famous Ooty Toy Train and then by car. Sterling had arranged the perfect picnic spot for us. We were all overwhelmed by the hospitality and the efforts they took to take care of us.

We sat there on the top of a hill surrounded by tea plants and had a delicious meal with a fantastic view. We then got back to the hotel a little earlier, had some time off to ourselves and ended the day with DUH yummy food :D

And that’s pretty much it. We enjoyed our stay at Sterling resorts and had the time of our lives exploring Ooty with Sterling. The best part about staying with Sterling would be FOOD and HOSPITALITY
